It’s officially 2018 and Attune Health’s doctors and staff are ready to make the most of the new year!
New Year’s resolutions are a great way to get motivated, make a plan and stick to it. Striving to “be a better person” and lose weight are the top resolutions for 2018, according to a recent poll by Marist College in Marist, New York. Tied for second place are exercising more, eating healthier and getting a better job.
Dr. Daphne Scaramangas said she’s among those looking to exercise more this year. She plans to set aside more time for herself and get back into yoga.
“I managed to fall off my routine,” she said, “and have not been following the advice I wholeheartedly give to others!”
Dr. Swamy Venuturupalli wants to use 2018 to stop and take more time to enjoy the good things in life.
“My New Year’s resolution is to laugh more. I’ve found myself getting too serious and I realize that life’s too short,” he said. “Laughter is indeed the best medicine!”
For Lee Bell, Attune Health’s board-certified, holistic nutritionist, a new year means more time exploring the great outdoors. Her New Year’s resolution is to “just get out!”
“I live in LA which has consistently good weather and such easy access to beautiful hiking trails and campsites,” she said. “In addition to being good for the body and soul, I can up my vitamin D, improve quality of sleep, get a dose of fresh air and spend quality time with friends, family and my dog, Mad Max.”
Bryant Uy, a physician assistant, also wants to spend more time exploring in 2018.
“My New Year’s resolution is to explore more places outside of Los Angeles on my free time,” he said.
Dr. Daniel Wallace, who recently underwent back surgery, said his time spent recovering has inspired him to work even harder to improve his patients’ quality of life as they move forward on a path to feeling better.
“Being a patient myself has made me more aware of the power of encouragement, empathy and healing” Wallace said.
