Attune Health Foundation is a nonprofit organization focused on improving the lives of people with autoimmune and inflammatory diseases by funding scholarships and grants for research and development of cures.
About the Foundation
Our Background Story
Attune Health Foundation was created in 2017 to support the mission of Attune Health in finding cures for autoimmune diseases. The purpose of the foundation is to provide support for innovative ideas, which inspire the field of autoimmune research to move forward. The current landscape of funding for research projects is dominated by pharmaceutical industry and government-funded grants. While these are vital to the development of basic science knowledge and innovative therapeutics, often time, cutting-edge ideas fail because of the lack of funding support for smaller, innovative projects.
For example, there have been numerous advances in technologies such as virtual reality, which could provide a means to help with chronic pain, however, there have yet to be any well-constructed clinical trials with good methodology to produce reliable results. The Attune Health Foundation can provide seed funding for such innovative ideas and allow them to be tested in real life situations through clinical work. Similarly, funding the resources needed to create the infrastructure that supports a well-characterized cohort of patients who provide meaningful data, bioinformatics, and biospecimens for analysis can lead to valuable insights, ultimately leading to better treatments and cures for autoimmune diseases.

Our Mission
To accelerate the development of cures for autoimmune and inflammatory diseases by providing scholarships and grants to fund innovative projects and support patients in need.
Our Approach
The approach is to facilitate the conversation between providers, scientists, patients, community representatives, industry, and other vested groups with the goal of supporting the overall mission of finding cures for autoimmune diseases.
